Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-bout match which will be shown in real-time on the streaming platform.
British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "stamp all over" the American and "defeat" the American as the two fighters confronted each other to build hype for the upcoming boxing match.
Former twice unified title holder Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami's venue on 19 December.
Fighter's Mindset
"I'm going to damage his features and hurt his body. My goal is to show my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, said.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.
"I will really want to injure him. That's what I want to do."
Civil Interaction
Despite such comments, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically famous for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul instead criticized ex Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "not serious" after the Cameroonian turned down a fight offer.
Taking Aim at Fury
Anthony Joshua, at the same time, criticized British opponent Tyson Fury - and refused a large bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul win.
"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua said.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Opponent
Despite stating he plans to damage his opponent, Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his rival's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he stated.
Paul's History
Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since becoming pro.
He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Success
However, the novice remains one of boxing's largest commercial attractions, regularly earning huge earnings.
Forecast and Belief
The 28-year-old predicted a knockout win in round four or five and claimed he would prevent the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly under discussion for 2026.
"It will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul stated.
Size Difference
As Joshua and Paul met for the traditional confrontation, with their height and weight contrast on show, it highlighted just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the fight is really happening.
